Using Figueroa Street as an organizing frame, the LAvenuesProject explores the history of Los Angeles’ built environment. Recent posts have talked about a relatively unknown silent movie studio in Highland Park, the political history of the Scholl Canyon Landfill and a surviving  Van De Kamp’s bakery building in South LA.
